KOTOLatte
About Us
Kotolatte loves walking around the town. Narrow lanes that accommodate traditional Kyoto style houses on both sides invite us to imagine the local everyday lives. Discovering the art and crafts created with skillful work always give us an excitement. Temples feature the distinctive architect styles that have been preserved for centuries. Their beautiful gardens steal our heart whenever we visit.
Kotolatte would like you to share the pleasure in discovering something fun and interesting.
Why not join us for a wonderful experience of charming Kyoto.
Our Guides
Etsuko
My interest is in “Machiya”(traditional wooden town houses) in Nishijin, Kyoto, famous production site of woven fabric. Machiya is a combined house and store for merchants and craftsman, conveying old feeling of Kyoto up until today. I also live in Machiya and enjoying old life style using antique furniture and dishes.
I’d love to introduce local’s daily life at Machiya, their custom and tradition. Why don’t you have great time with us visiting untold Kyoto!

Okunishi
I was born and live in Kyoto. Since I became a tour guide I've visited the many beautiful places the city has to offer and rediscovered its beauty. I'm a friendly guide specializing in cultural tours, temples of course, gardens and local crafts.
My personal interests include films, Japanese gardens (which I love visiting), pottery (which I like to collect in a small way), kimono, visiting Japanese Sake breweries (and drinking it) and food (and eating it).I once lived in the U.K. which helps me a lot in guiding not only because of language but also in understanding cultural differences. I'm looking forward to seeing you and showing you round.
